Tidbits
A downloadable asset pack
Mrmo's Tidbits is a large collection of micro tilesets and additional bits'n'bobs I was creating over a period of more than ten years.
These bite-sized micro tilesets represent little "slices" of my experimental art, various attempts of replicating particular "styles and modes" of tileset construction.
They can be used as "stepping stones" to develop more complex tilesets, or as useful additions to existing projects.
Currently, Tidbits contains 33 micro tilesets in total; this number will go up as I continue to format and add new tilesets to the collection!
Check out the list of included Tidbits here - I will keep it updated as I add more!

Tidbits comes in two versions, Basic and Deluxe.
The Basic version contains a selection of the micro tilesets and is (and always will be) free to use for non-commercial purposes.
The Deluxe version contains all of the tilesets, as a paid extra for people who want to support my work or want to use the tilesets commercially, and will continue to be updated as I add more content to Tidbits.

Many Tidbits come with either Tiled, NAW or Tilesetter project files to both demonstrate how the tilesets can be used, and provide a starting point for further development and modification.

I will keep updating the available assets, adding more as I pack and optimize them.
All Tidbits are provided as-is, and many included project files are not fully organized or optimized.
Licensing:
"Basic" version license: Tidbits "Basic" version can be used in non-commercial projects of any kind, excluding those relating to or containing non-fungible tokens ("NFT") or blockchain-related projects. Credit is not necessary, but very much appreciated.
"Deluxe" version license: Tidbits "Deluxe" version can be used in both non-commercial and commercial projects of any kind, excluding those relating to or containing non-fungible tokens ("NFT") or blockchain-related projects. I'd love to see what you create using Tidbits! I'm on Bluesky so feel free to show me your work there!

Intensely amazing
Thank you very much :D
Love your work and appreciate the links to some of the tools you've used. Any chance you know of similar app to RexPaint/Playscii for Android or iOS? Cheers
Hey! I don't know of any such apps that allow for 1-bit "textmode" workflow on mobile devices, and I would really like something like that too :/
I know lvllvl allows importing custom tilesets, and it's a browser-based online editor- might be worth giving it a try?
Does this includes mini adventure?
Hello! MiniAdventures isn't included in Tidbits, you can check out the list of included tilesets here :)
Do we need Tilesetter to use the tiles made in Tilesetter? Or is a .tset file just *included*?
The tilesets in question are included in .png format; Tilesetter .tset projects are included as a convenience, but Tilesetter itself is not needed to use the tiles :)
Just had to be sure--thanks!
Hello! :D
I just bought this wonderful asset, and then I noticed that there were some Naw files in it.
I want to know how I can turn them into "tileset. png" files?
Or, how can I use them in Unity?
Hey! Thanks a lot for supporting my work!
The .naw Tidbits are made using NES Assets Workshop, you can open them using this tool and extract whatever assets you'd like in .png format!
amazing!
These are wonderful, amazing work. The packaging is a very cool touch :D
Yeah, cool as ever.
